Too Early for Feb Hatch-A-Long Thread??

I wish I had saved the other temp maps that everyone shared last year because there were a few different brand incubators. I didn't think about it at the time, I only saved the one with the info :hmm. I may be able to go back and find them for future reference at least.

I think it was the June/July hatch along that we did it in.

I don't think I could not hatch it totally is an addiction. I love watching the fuzzies in the eggs not sure my husband likes it as much as me but he loves me so lets me play lol. I still have both incubators I used for the last hatch we did and one is spot on all the time for temps. The other is better at the last few days because it tends to have warm spots when you get away from the middle of the bator.

Do you want another Hovabator? It's a 1502N. lol, I just took mine out of the box to set up for emu eggs and the instructions are missing...for the life of me I can't remember how to put this thing back together. :lau My friend had it...maybe a piece is missing...

I totally agree I have had tons of people tell me that the Genesis bators are horrible. Hard to clean hard to keep an even temp won't hold humidity. The only thing I have negative to say is that the temp and humidity for each seem to be off a few degrees. I bought a bunch of calibrated thermometer/hygrometer combos and put them in each incubator and don't rely on the one on the incubator. Haven't had a bad hatch with them yet. Most of the people I talk to call them death bators.
Same with my farm innovator 4250. People were calling it horrible. I have yet to have it do anything funky and I usually have great hatches.

I actually had pretty ok results with the Farm Innovators 4250, I felt it tied with the Hovabator personally but I only put it below Hovabator on my list because so many people preferred them.

I have a feeling I am going to be building my own cabinet bator this year I have a book I purchased with instructions and all the materials for my kindle and I will be working on it a little at a time as I get money to buy the parts I think.

How fun! The same friend that had the Hovabator and I were talking about using an old glass front wine cooler to convert into a cabinet incubator last year but we just never did it. We both have very capable husbands but neither of them wanted to feed our chick hatching addiction. They insisted we had enough incubators. Silly men, lol.
