Chick is starting to dry out. Not sure what color maybe mauve, not sure. He or she seems to want to get right back in the egg though poor thing.

It takes a lot to shrink wrap them. Opening the incubator quickly isn't going to cause shrink wrapping. The egg all the way in the back is working on trying to zip. He's made the hole bigger. I had to reach in and flip the two pipped eggs the chick flipped the eggs over so they were laying on their airholes. Hoping I didn't shrink wrap them trying to save them.
That's what I'm hoping. The other option would be to let them die without air which I wasn't willing to do. Hope someone hatches soon my lonely baby needs a friend. It takes a lot to shrink wrap them. Opening the incubator quickly isn't going to cause shrink wrapping.

If it's bigger than a normal egg it's most likely a double yolker. You can choose to pull it out now or wait. Hatching twins is a lot of work. They rarely both survive and sometimes neither of them survive. You will have to assist them.1 of my eggs in my incubater is huge I worried it is a double yolker I weight it in the beginning and its 2.55 ounces while the others were 2.10 ounces
I candled its and its fertile since the egg is so big my flashlight doesn't shine all the way through so I can't see if there are 2 embryos
What's the silver one? I love itPart 1 of this week's hatch is complete. 12 chicks hatched! They're adorable. It'll be so much run to watch them grow and develop.
I did a quick cleaning of the incubator. Just pulled the dirty shelf liner and added new. Then separated the 21 remaining shipped eggs into 2 groups. In an attempt to make identifying chicks easier. They should hatch tomorrow.
