Too Early for Feb Hatch-A-Long Thread??

I have fuzzy leap day baby pics!! 6 out of 6 hatched and are happy, healthy little quackers!! 1 runty one had pipped on the wrong end and had a rough hatch, but it's still showing vigor...neck muscles just haven't caught up yet. All in all it was a wonderful, amazing experience!! 😍🥰

Oh my goodness, they're adorable!! What are they? I really want more ducklings this year. So cute!

Ah with my own birds I’ve also had the odd one hatch with light skin and it’s turned dark the next day after being in the brooder but I just hope this one stays light...probably won’t though!

Yes it would have made a cute pet, like Siamese Silkies go for quite a lot yet they are not accepted for showing, it’s odd! 😅
What is a Siamese Silkie???

WOW! That's a lot of roos. If it makes you feel better I have had plenty of pullets face off, bounce around the brooder, and play fight too.
Thank you. Im hoping that is the case. It would be too weird to try for silkies two years in a row and end up with none! The ones that made it last year were so pretty splash but one after another they started crowing!

These are a backyard cross 😂 Hatched the eggs from my Khaki Campbell drake x Runner hen. Should be some great egg layers!!

Often the crosses are the healthiest birds too. Anything with Khaki Campbell in it has my vote after my short experience so far with my welsh harlequin. Enjoy your baby ducklings! They're adorable!!

THIS is NOT an Ayam Cemani.... I'm thinking my Silkie girls aren't freeloading slackers after all, and this was after an accidental visit to Mr Cochin, because I've got three typical Cemani chicks all laid around the date of this one! (Like this chick was laid 2.6, but 2.3,4,and7 are all Cemani...)
