I put them on Craigslist.I’d like to do that, just don’t know where or how. Hopefully someone can guide me. I do have a friend with a lot of land that might take the males and I can just get some females. I love one of my boys though, he’s my fave.

I hatched out some ducks, the most fun ever! If you do not mind raising and selling the excess drakes, keep the one you like and hatch more girlfriends for him. (He will not care that they are his daughters)! They are pets but I really do want eggs, so having more females is preferable but one of the males I love a lot, he’s definitely the sweetest of my bunch!

I think I would love doing this! Mine haven’t laid eggs yet, but we homeschool so the ultimate life cycle lesson! The new ducklings.
He might not be so nice once the girls come into lay. But, I think my incubator was just the ticket to get more girls for my guys. It is a Harris Farm Incuview 360 from Tractor supply, there is a thread on here with lots of happy hatchers. I put in 20 eggs and got 11 ducklings.I think I would love doing this! So you’ll just sell your drakes when they come of age and you know they’re drakes? He might not be so nice once the girls come into lay. Mine are mixed layer breeds, we have eaten 2, but my husband does not want to eat any more. I am having a friend over in a couple of weeks for the "Drake Day" when the rest go to freezer camp at her house and my neighbor's. I have 9 left, at least 4, maybe 5 are drakes. I once hatched 10 chicks, and 7 were cockerels. You have to be ready for that if you hatch. So you’ll just sell your drakes when they come of age and you know they’re drakes?
They are really beautiful!! My George is really beautiful too, he’d make some pretty babies. Maybe I’ll order some female of another breed. I really wanted khaki campbells or Cayuga or Ancona, so maybe I’ll just invest since now I know I enjoy the ducks. The dads:
I wanted some of these guys chicks, they were so beautiful. I had too many drakes and they did not have females. I still have a pair of Rouen, a pair of Anacona, and a pair of Buff ducks. And one female runner. The ducklings are a mix of all those breeds, and not something most would want to buy. I just wanted the girls, so the mixed breed males are dinner.
The Ancona duck is my best layer, big white eggs. The Buff is also a good layer, just not as many as the Ancona, but big light green eggs that buyers love. I hatched a lot of green eggs, hoping for more like her! The Buff and Ancona boys are big enough to eat, and not having dark feathers makes for an easier job plucking them. Not as much fat on them as the Pekins I used to have, but not as big, either. You can get sexed female Khaki Campbells and Buffs from most hatcheries, but the Anconas were from Sandhill Preservation, I do not know where else you can get those. He does not sex. Mine were a mixed duck special, I wanted to see all those breeds for a little less cost. They are really beautiful!! My George is really beautiful too, he’d make some pretty babies.
