Ducks are way to addicting!
I have silkies, BEI's and 3 pekin rescued boys and 1- rouen girl rescue..
6- ducks sitting on eggs still, 3 ducks hatched out a total of 21 ducklings. Don't know what to expect out of the other 6.
Way too many drakes in isolation right now. For a total of I'm not sure. Lost count! Roughly (maybe counting babies) 50 or so ??
Plus I have 15 shipped runner eggs in the incubator right now. Plus 8 toulouse + 2 babies.
I brooded a duckling with a goose last year. The goose and drake are now a mated pair. They're raising 2 foster babies together right now. Houston (BEI drake) a whole 3 lbs, chased off an offending goose last week. He had to fly to grab her beak! He's nothing if not persistant and the goose gave up and ran from him. LOL
