i just got 8 lil banties today from a farm supply store. some are feathered leg while some are not. i am guessing they are only a few days old, so if it is too soon to tell breed, thats ok. if u have ANY guesses to what they might be, thatd help. remember, they are bantams :) thanks!

this is Daytona:

this is Drifter:

this is Honkers:

this is Lightning:

this is Nitro:

this is Pipsqueak (this one is TINY!):

this one is Revvy:

and this is Scuffs:

any ideas would be helpful! and if i need to get different pics at different angles or if it is just too early to tell breed, just let me know! THANKS SO MUCH :)

The first one has the exact coloration of my full size Speckled Sussex. I guess they come in bantam too. I suspect the feather legged ones are Cochin. Drifter may be a Sultan. Just not sure on most of them.

Daytona is a BB Red Old English Game Bantam

Drifter, Honker, Lightning and Nitro look like Cochins. Honker is a Partridge Cochin. The others are White or Red. lol The color of the photo makes it hard to tell.

Scuffs looks like a Cochin, too.

Pipsqueak and Revy are probably OEGB also.

So should Daytona, Pip, and Revvy all be kept separate or should I even chance keeping them?

Why shouldn't you keep them? Old English are great birds, they forage well, are friendly but not really pets, decent layers and good mommas.

Old English Games are not aggressive. I have 10 that I keep with my Plymouth Rocks, Sex-Links, Buff Orpingtons, Welsummer, Easter Egger and silkies and they do not fight at all. All chickens can be aggressive. If you keep your game chicks and raise them on a proper lifestyle and good temperament with the other chicks they'll be fine.

Ok thanks! lol I'm tempted to change Daytona's name to Chipmunk cud that is what (s)he acts like :)

Oh and, do u know how old either breed need to be to tell gender?
