Took Some Detours, Rescued a Puppy, and We're Exhausted!

and give one to Tom too. Such good people you both are. Thank you for helping her.

I wonder where she came from? Has somebody been missing her for a while or is it more likely she was dumped?

So glad you all took care of her. I can't keep all my rescued pups, but I have three who asked me to thank you and Tom!

We've had so many puppies dumped out here in the country, it's just sad. Thank you for saving her. Fortunately, the last puppy I found, one year ago on the RR tracks, went to live with my brother. I bet your girl will find a good home, too.

Oh, Kate, I think anyone who has any empathy for a poor defenseless animal would have done the same. Thank goodness that we didn't have to take her to animal control-they are very full and it wouldn't have been a good thing at all.

I'm not sure where she came from, but I bet someone dumped her off. The stretch of road where we found her has cow pastures running along it, so would have been a good place to dump a dog without being seen. My sweet almost-twelve-yr-old girl, Kes, was a dumpee, too, when she was about 8 months old. Someone picked her up from the side of the highway and took her home. Their 16 yr old nonsense hated her, so they put her outside. Later, they realized that she really wasn't the type to be left outside and took her to the humane society. She had a foster mom when I adopted her from a local PetSmart as a companion for my three yr old Cody, who died at the age of 12 over a year ago.

We had a golden retriever we expect was dumped. He was eating out of garbage cans in the neighborhood until he found his way to our house. When no one claimed him he stayed on permanently. For more than 12 years (getting all misty now.....) Thank you for giving this little girl a chance.
