my little ladies turn their beaks up at everything! except the cicada bugs that are ALL over lately, which is fantastic because unlike stepping barefoot into a fresh pile of chicken poo walking on one of those huge crawly flying things is HORRIBLE. ...not that i enjoy walking in chicken poo.

Just had to give this thread a read!!! So exciting!! We just got our new lot of hens last week and have not yet tried treating them but it sounds like so much fun!! Thanks everyone! :D
 
Here's my list, in no particular order!

  1. Cold watermelon
  2. Leftover homemade bread
  3. Scrambled eggs
  4. Scratch
  5. Frozen spent grain (basically a grain-sicle during the hot summer months)
  6. Carrots
  7. Chard (I have to give them their own plants otherwise they steal mine! hehe)
  8. Unsalted peanuts still in shell
  9. Figs; they steal them from my fig tree
  10. Pomegranates; i have an excess of these from my shrub
