Top beak of my rooster fell off.

It’s day 5 of beak reattachment....for the past 2.5 months he tires easily at night. When I would come home between 6-7 PM he would want me to take him out of his cage and he wound hang out with me. Now he just wants to rest . He’s 2.5 years old now, is that a factor? Should I be concerned? Is the normal aging process?

So you're saying he was acting tired at night well before the beak issue, right?

It could be a seasonal thing--what part of the world are you in?

He could have been too hot in the summer (if you were in the northern hemisphere), or reacting to short days in the winter (if you are in the southern hemisphere).

Or of course there are endless possibilites of nutritional deficiencies, parasites, diseases, or even a previous injury.

2.5 years is not particularly old for most chickens, but a lot depends on the breed and the individual: some meat chickens will die of heart failure before age 3 month old, while some other chickens make it well over 10 years.
