Here is another picture of it's legs. It seems to have a limit but I'm having a hard time figuring out whether it's a bumble foot or sprained.

That is a great sterile, saline wash, and can be used to clean/wash the wound but is not a disinfectant...as others have posted, use LOTS of an antibiotic ointment not only to keep the infection from setting in but also to keep the tissue moist while it heals. If the tissue dries up, it could prevent the "breathing" the tissue needs to heal as well as potentially locking in bad bacteria that can fester under the scab.So I found this in my house. Do you think it would work as a disinfect for the open wound? And if so, how much should I put on it?
It just looks dirty to me? I don't see a defined scab or any swelling? Will that black stuff wash off?View attachment 2118151
