Topic of the Week - Christmas in the Coop

Relatives abroad love cats, so our chickens send the cats a Christmas gift each year, and the cats send the chickens a gift. Last year the cats sent a massive bag of dried grubs (which the birds are still enjoying), and this year a wooden chicken swing arrived on the doorstep! Not sure what the chickens sent, but my wife assures me it happened.

I give my chickens an extra scoop of food, let all the Broodies sit on their eggs, and give a bunch of old greens to everybody

Mine are getting a bag of dried worms
But they love it so…
The ducks and geese will get peas and maybe I’ll let them swim in the big pond!
(Though the geese have already snuck in there twice).

I wish I’d had the time this year but I had my first broody hen so kinda stressed but the majority of them hatched today so Christmas chicks! Any name suggestions? So far ten chicks have hatched and there are five more eggs left.
