Topic of the Week - Christmas in the Coop

We decorated this year, though I’m not sure Miss Bingly was impressed.

If I can scrap enough money together, I'm gonna get them their favorite treat: superworms. They're like mealworms but much bigger! And maybe some fruit, too.

Well, seeing as it's going to be -27c tomorrow morning I think I'll make them a nice warm oatmeal with some fresh cranberries tossed in.

This looks like a great contest!

I wish I could participate but we're in the middle of building a new coop and it would be useless to decorate the old one... it's so torn down. Maybe next year!

I would love to see some coop decorations! I need ideas. Lol

We decorate the exterior/interior of the coop. The part which houses the hens are free of decor (that could present a potential hazard). We do hang fresh herbs to dry where the ladies reside. They get scratch and fresh greens from the garden for their Christmas treats (as we have a mild climate and garden year round).

This is something that happened right after I hung mistletoe in the coop. Glad I had my camera to catch the lovebirds!

I decorated my coop (BEFORE I decorated my house of course) and tomorrow the ladies are getting a flock block!
