Topic of the Week - What do you do with all those eggs?

We sell some give some away the kids eat quite a few I even trade some for scraps for the hens

If my whole family has eggs for breakfast, it will take around two dozen eggs. Then we also do a ton of baking, and I also hatch the eggs sometimes. We have never had too many eggs lol. But if we ever did I'd probably sell them or give them to friends and family.

We've incubated a few quail eggs but a weekly spinach quiche takes care of a lot of our eggs!!!

I have my own business website and all and I sell my eggs…. I’m lucky enough to sell them cheaper than the supermarkets and that im only person in town who sells duck eggs too.

As we all know eggs are a welcome benefit of keeping chickens, but sometimes, especially after chicken math hits and the flock grew, some of us may have the wonderful dilemma of having a few too many eggs! I'm curious to hear what you all do with your chickens' eggs. Especially the extra ones.

I sell mine for $3 a dozen , i give them to friends, i also eat them and my silkie eggs i incubate and sell my chicks love and enjoy my birds - i also sell duck eggs and incubate as well

4 eggs for breakfast every morning,shells in compost.Some are given away,some are hard boiled and feed back to the hens-wy wife brings the guinea eggs to the restaurant she works at for "guinea sliders" a breakfast sandwich that is very popular there! Even my cats like some eggs and rice every now and then! We may have to put up a fresh eggs for sale sign soon...

My cat loves eating the raw eggs that may get broken during the laying process or if the kids accidentally crack em bringing them inside... she actually meows like crazy for her egg... and fights the GSD over them on occasion lol

In short, nobody in my entire family ever has to purchase eggs

I take extras to work, to the fire dept., the police dept., my hairdresser. As long as I don’t have to pay for cartons, I’ll share.
