The Missouri River divides South Dakota almost in half. Folks from there refer to being "East River" (the Sioux Falls side) or West River (the Rapid City side). This was South Dakota yesterday...pictures taken on the same day at about the same time of day, given the one hour time change between.


The little South Dakota town of Delmont was virtually wiped out.

Tornados can happen just about anywhere. We didn't expect this last year either here in Northern Wyoming.




I should mention that this garage was not damaged by the storm - it was in the building process. But it is across the street from our place.....too close for comfort even though I grew up in Eastern South Dakota and should have been used to seeing them.

Those of you in the line of fire, please be careful!
