yeah, I remember surviving one when we were living out in Warr Acres, must have been 1959 or 1960 -- our house was only one left completely standing on our block ... no basement so we pretty much stayed in the hall closet except to squeeze out the sponges and rags we had at the doors (2 steps above ground level) because the water was THAT deep outisde -- tornadoes carry a lot of rain with them ...
afterwards, ironically, we didn't HAVE any water (drinking water) so one of the other families on the block, who had a well, supplied all the rest of us if we showed up with jugs or bottles
which part of OKC do you live in, okiechick ? also lived for a bit down almost as far south as Moore ...

These 2 hatched yesterday.......out of 5 of my own eggs.... so not bad I suppose.....going to give the other 3 eggs another day or two.... I didnt think I had any good eggs......so a nice surprise
