Good Evening,

I hatched this roo out last year and have kept him, if for no other reason, than he is really odd. I believe he is a tortoiseshell but I'm not entirely sure how I got him or if his color is a "desirable" one. I haven't seen anyone advertise them for sale. In fact I haven't seen much of anything about them.

Any info anyone has would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Erin

That website is where I got the name but I don't know the owner and to the best of my knowledge none of my birds came from her. I emailed to ask about the genetics behind it but never heard back.

Yes, there is. He has some red feathering on his wings. Its not a lot but you can definitely see it in the sun. Its the dark grey body with the almost white head that gets me. He is just a funny looking guy.

Nope, he is pure Silkie. I hatched him out here at my house so I know he doesn't have anything else in him. My roos were blue, black, and red at that time an my hens were black and white.
