Hello everyone!!!
I had a young lady lay an egg outside of the henhouse a couple days ago. I saw her crouched and a little puffed.. when I walked up to see if she was ok, she laid an egg. It hit the dirt and started to roll but I picked it up.
Probably shouldn’t eat this egg right?
(I also had dirty gardening gloves on when I picked it up)

Thanks in advance :thumbsup

According to my certification class on raising back yard chickens, our instructor told the class that as soon as it hits air, it is sealed.

Just wash it off, cook and eat them or wash it off and refrigerate them. Unless you have chemicals on you dirty gloves you should be ok to wash and eat it, other wise you shouldnt be eating any fruits or vegetables that actually had rolled in the dirt and been washed and sold in the market.

As long as it's not cracked it's fine to eat. If you think the bloom's been compromised, just refrigerate it.
