Tough love is really tough, it hurts (him too now)

What would bother me the most is that hes being very disrespectful and almost hateful to you by talking about you to others behind your back....

Kate, you know I am right there with you right now. I hate having to do it, but they have to learn to take responsibility in life at some point!!!! We are being GOOD parents for kicking their butts out.

Debi I hope your situation improves too, we love them, may not like them right now, but love them.

I do love that girl. Do not like her boyfriend at all. He is a selfish, narccistic youngster. And that comes after months of getting to know him. I reserve judgement with boyfriends and girlfriends because I KNOW I am biased.

However. We have had these issues with her from day 1. It has finally reached the point of no return. Our house is clean!!! And it has stayed that way for 24 hours.

I have a theory about why they become so unpleasant to be around at that age:

If they were sweet, adorable, squishy, lovey, cuddly....we would want to keep them in the nest with us forever. This "attitude" simply helps us not feel so rotten when we give them a swift kick in the hiney to fly out on their own.

Hang in there. It DOES get easier.
