Toulouse geese started laying again.

Hi,

I have 8 Toulouse geese that layed eggs this past spring. 3 went Broody with no luck and everyone had stopped laying by mid May.

My understanding was that geese only lay eggs once per year in the spring, about 20-35 eggs.

I now have 5 Goose Eggs from 2 or 3 girls in my incubator and I assume they will lay more.

This our second year with geese, their mother did not lay a 2nd time last year, but she did lay more eggs before she stopped for the year.

What's going on?

Some geese will instinctively lay a second clutch if the first fails.
