Toulouse Geese Thread

My feelings exactly. There is a really nice pond directly across the highway from us that is used only for cattle plus they have water in stock tanks all over the place and have water trucked in for those. I am often tempted to heard my ducks and geese across for a swim. But the highway is pretty busy and I know they have snapping turtles in their tank because some of them have crossed the road to get to us for some reason. Oh well, Sting and Lydia (and Pauline) will have to make do with what I can afford. The ducks do fine with their kiddie pool and the Cayugas will be "mature" in a week so look out. We may have little black ducklings running around before winter sets in.

Now how do you know that? Ducklings in the house again? LOL

Every time I swear that I will never brood in the house again and every time I end up doing just that. Right now I have 8 Sebright Bantams (Golden and Silver) and 7 Rhode Island Reds brooding upstairs above the garage. If I end up with ducklings that is where they will end up as well. And I have purchased an incubator...OMG what is happening to me?????

It's called "MATH" it can attach itself to chickens, ducks or geese, then when you least expect it all of a sudden you have Guineas and Turkeys and have no earthly idea how they got there.

They are such amazing birds; i miss my Toulouse goose so much! He followed you everywhere and actually kept kids from playing where they weren't supposed to! He was the boss and he let everyone know it without being aggressive and he flat out refused to stay in his run or be associated with the chickens! Lol I am sure that he was convinced that he was human! Would anyone be willing to sell some fertile hatching eggs???????
