Toulouse Geese Thread

It is hard I bet but it does mean that your geese can be as loud as possible

It would be hard to think your so far from everyone but I would picture it that it is nice.
We are not anti-social or anything but we do like our privacy. And the quiet!!!!

Plus we have more dogs and birds than any city ordinance would allow. One thing I have notices is that the closer you get to a city (city limits) the smaller and closer the farms are to one another. We are so far out we don't have to worry about that. And, we are surrounded by huge cattle ranches and hunting leases that will never be developed, at least not in our lives.

I was told all 3 were males when I got them last summer, but the largest(right in picture) has mounted the smallest(middle) today.. He has also developed quite the attitude while the other two are calm and quiet.
Are males known for doing this when no females are around? Or is he actually a female?

Looking at the picture above and the one's you have posted before I would venture to guess you are correct that the one on the right is a gander. It is hard to be certain about the other two, at least one MAY be female. Perhaps @servpolice will see this a make a guess (in my opinion more than a guess as serv has correctly photo-sexed all my geese). Oh, and by the way, they are very good looking geese.

PS - If you find eggs soon you will know for sure.

I would actually love to live away from big cities and live somewhere where there wouldn't be a lot of noise. Unfortunately I don't have that privacy as my job is actually to be in cities but I don't care since I truly love my job ;)
You won't have any problems with your animals which is perfect.

Nope definitely not 3 males!
Luckily for you it is 1 male 2 females ;)
Male on the very right, female in the centre and female on the left

Thank you! We spoil them haha. Going to have to start checking around the yard for eggs ;)

Oh boy! I had a feeling based on how the 2 of them act vs the other one. Was planning on getting 3 females for them, but I guess I won't have to! Hopefully I come across an egg soon :D

That is how I got started. One gander and two females. Well they blessed me with 8 goslings and all was right with the world. Now they are all grown up and the world has turned inside out.

OHHH finding eggs is so much fun! For some reason last spring I didn't expect my female Toulouse to lay, but she did and I screamed when I found her first one!!
