How do you fill them though? don't the hoses freeze up? do you carry them indoors to fill?

x2You fill buckets of water and take it to fill you buckets for the birds. Most people take their hoses off the faucet during the winter so they do not freeze up at night. Then take them out and attach to the faucet when done take off the faucet empty and bring it in so the hose stays clear. A lot of work in the winter.
Never, I repeat NEVER only have one gander, rooster, drake. Too risky that a predator strikes, or poor fertility. That is an AMAZING deal and you need to add him.Guys.. I've just been offered the full brother of grand champion in show. He's a grey, and I could use him against my buffs to make boys split for buff while improving the size.
Thoughts? Should I have a backup male? He's $150 - which I think is amazing. He's also one of the best ganders Jamie Carson has ever sold. He has two very similar and only keeps an extra gander every year.
Here's his full brother that won grand champion of show last fall.
I agree with that Celtic. We just never had an extra, as buff are so hard to come by. Jamie is a good friend, and he always has something we could buy for backup, but to come by a really good one, is very rare. I will get him.Never, I repeat NEVER only have one gander, rooster, drake.
