Toulouse Geese Thread

Pics

So here is my cottonpatch name is Dollface and my Toulouse, GG. They were about 4 months then. Today my Toulouse laid her first egg I am a very proud papa. She was born May 9th 2012 so now almost 9mo and her first egg. I will have to get newer pics here cause she sure looks different now, fatter fluffier and with the sweetest disposition ever. Is not what I call imprinted but will watch me carefully in the yard and will follow me around a bit too. If im out in the yard, she is there to make sure she sees whats going on. LOL, I love her and her name is Gorgeous-Girl (GG for short), and of course because she is french. LOL I will try to get updated pics soon.
Congratulations on her first egg!

I have a lovely girl named Lucy. She has been a great pet and is a joy to have around the yard. She watches all of my other birds and help keep them in line. If they get into a scuffle, she's right there breaking it up. She's also an amazing alarm system, she always let's me know when the neighbor's dog is in the yard of my cat has come back home haha! She's a real sweetheart and she's wicked smart too. She knows her name and come when called. She also loves to follow me around the yard when I'm doing my chores. She likes to make sure I'm doing my job right. If I forget to change the water in a pool, she'll honk until I come back and clean it out.

I don't have any pictures of her though on this computer. I'll post some later!

Looking forward to those pictures!

they will stop and then go about their summer busniess. Production toulouse lay more than dewlaps, but she is a first year so she could lay fewer than next year. I would expect 30/35 max. As the get farther and farther away from her laying the hormones subside and they dont breed again till 2014.

That is so interesting, thanks for the info. So far she hasn't acted the least bit like she's wanted to sit, and I'm glad of that, although I take her egg pretty soon after she lays. Sam has been acting pretty protective of her though even going in the duck house with her while she lays, it's so sweet.
