Toulouse Geese Thread

This was the plan... have the geese out in the orchard with a small pool under a tree. First geese get to have fun, than tree gets fertilized water!
I as usual, end up doing a whole lot of bending and lifting... got to work on making this friendlier on my back. But I sure enjoy the company of all the critters.

We came up with an idea for that...drilling a hole in it toward the bottom where you can close it off when they are playing in it and when you want to empty it for fertilizing the tree and rinsing out the pool, pull the plug out. It works great, and coming from a retired medic with neck and back messed up, it is much friendlier. What do you think?

That is sweet. So glad you are enjoying them, My geese always have something to say, they seem very opinionated and don't mind letting everyone know. I enjoy them very much.

Yours and mine both. And easily offended, I might add. I enjoy all of mine , too with all of their different personalities. As if the two donkeys didn't have enough opinions of their own...LOL!

I would love to add 2 donkeys into the mix. that would be fun. I am seeing more and more donkeys in with goats and cattle around here makes me want some so much. BUT My dh would high tail it out of here if I even mentioned it.

Done, went and got a plug and drilled the hole. Might leak a bit. But the water can't be used for long anyway. I'll fill up the pool tomorrow. Actually, a champagne cork might work as well.

Great idea, thanks!

Well just got back inside and found Missy has now laid # 45 and she has enlisted the aid of a Muscovy duck to sit on them for her.

Not all 45 just these last 4 she has laid.
