Herdie and Gerdie are finally here!





This last one is of Gerdie. She is MUCH lighter gray than Herdie is, and there was another in the same flock that was almost cream colored. Is there such a thing as Buff Toulouse?



Gerdie also has pink feet instead of orange like Herdie.

There is Buff Dewlap Toulouse, so maybe she is a cross. They sure look to be settling in and very pretty too.

They LOVE it here! As soon as I let them out of the coop, they made a run for the new pool (they haven't been able to get INTO the water for a good 8 months!) and had birdie sex within 30 seconds of being in there! So if Gerdie's eggs weren't fertile before, they are now! LOL

Hey Fuzzybird!

I was talking to Kukupecpec and realizes the two of you aren't very far from me. Lordsburg is near the NM/AZ border. We are Toulouse fans also and have some coming. We currently have Grey and Buff Saddleback Rugener (pomeranians), White and Brown Chinese, African and American Buff Geese, as well as different duck breeds, 2 donkeys and Great Pyrenees and kitties. I like your pics of the baby kids.

Nice to meet you. My DH and I live with my sister on her small ranch and we have quite a few goats, one horse, cats, chickens, turkeys and the goslings, 6 dogs, are personal dogs are 2 whippets.

Me too, I think since our girls are yearlings it is best to wait till next year although my gander isn't getting any younger he's soon to be 6yrs.

Missy is now up to # 44. Will this girl never stop? I've left these last 3 in her stall because we are building a goose house and I think moving her eggs in after we get finished will help her feel more at home. at least I hope so.
