Done, went and got a plug and drilled the hole. Might leak a bit. But the water can't be used for long anyway. I'll fill up the pool tomorrow. Actually, a champagne cork might work as well.

Great idea, thanks!

Well, just by chance, I found the plug to the pool close to the goose hut several yards away from the pool. I must make the plug less interesting!

Goslings found a new toy box.
Well, it was a three gallon bucket with several 3" and 4" plastic plant pots stacked inside. What gooser fun it must have been flinging and chewing those pots around!

My gander has been having a snotty nose lately. The drainage is usually clear, some times white. He is eating and drinking fine. Has 2 pools to dip his head into. Straw for bedding. I have put a bucket of clean water out with ACV for him. He gets a little better after awhile once he drinks/rinses with it. Should I get medicine for him? If so what? Thanks in advance

Be careful they'll eat anything
No kidding!!!! I JUST barely caught the tail end of a 2 foot little strip of plastic and pulled it away from Trina. I wasn't fast enough for a little hard plastic scrap she found though. I thought I had cleaned SO WELL, but of course leave it to het to find the ONE thing I missed. Brat. I'm just hoping she poops it out ok.

My cat managed to poop a several inches long skinny bungee cord...who knows why she ate that thing?

Anything goslings see goes right in their mouth just like a child and that is what gets them into trouble!!! Their mouth is their hands and boy oh boy what fun to pull on everything and chew on whatever we see.

I am waiting for the weather to get where I can take the goslings out for awhile during the day. It has rained for 5 days straight and then a sunny day and rain again so I can not take them out on wet grass still too young. I have to keep pulling grass and dandelion greens. Our sebbies have done such a good job on the dandelions that they are getting less on the front lawn. They are great at cleaning them up. But we still have a pasture full.

Today was sunny but still too chilly for my babies... So me momma goose will have to keep gathering grass and dandelion greens for them.
