is she molting, or about to molt? I notice various birds look "off" when molting and can get wet feather look that vanishes as the new feathers come in.

could she have gotten into something outside and preened it away over night?

Wish I could picture what Miss Lydia means by wet looking head. My girls don't even look wet when they are bathing :idunno

There is nothing outside except buckets of water I put out for them and the pools they bath in, and she is probably almost 5 months or very close. I'll try to get a pic.
update: went out to take a pic when I got home after being out for about 2 hrs. and her head is dry as a bone, but will take a pic first thing if it happens again. Strange for sure.

Well I don't know if ya'll can tell a difference in Missy from 4 weeks ago, can you believe it's been 4 weeks? lol but she is the sweetest goose, loves to talk and is feeling very much at home now. I love her can you tell lol

Has it really been 4 weeks already? Time flies! I love watching their wonderful personalities emerge as they get comfortable in their new environment. Is Sammy in love with her yet?

I don't think so although since he has been separated from the ducks who he loves he has been hanging out with her more. It's so funny because he'll start to walk off and she will run to catch up then he starts running because he thinks she is chasing him and he freaks out and will turn around and put his head down to stop her, they just crack me up. He is still getting use to being a goose I guess.

LOL! That is just like my blind girl who runs to Ember for safety, which causes Ember to take off running thinking BG is chasing her. Well, if Sammy doesn't fall in love with her soon, spring will be here and his hormones will take over. Pretty sure he will think she is wonderful then.
