Toys in the coop

I made a nice toy but my alfa will not let any of the others come near it. Its a twenty oz coke bottle with six holes drilled in it the size of your finger. I put a handful of raisins in it. She can't pick them out. She has to kick it around and knock them out. To much bullying going on and its a melee. Some get pecked for being in the wrong place. The only time I use it now is if I have one bird out. Its fun to watch them figure it out.

I have always thought of getting a xylophone a children's xylophone for the chicken coop. I haven't bothered with it since they find ranging the yard a lot more interesting. I just now YouTubed it and there are lots of videos of chicken playing the xylophone. For my flock when they were contained to the run they didn't appreciate the hanging cabbage toy idea.

Most chickens enjoy scratching, and digging in the dirt as well as foraging. So offering them room and stuff to scratch for is always good.

Anything to jump up on is always welcome too.
Oh yeah the ladder was a hit when it was still in the run ours loved climbing that thing.
