Putia's tail hung between her legs, she was terrified.

Marco growled.

Putia growled a little, trying to make herself look brave.

"You two! Go find them, lead them off." Marco ordered two dogs. The dogs nodded and ran.

Putia watched as the dogs ran off. "Marco... will we find the other dogs.. alive?"

Marco said nothing. He started off again.

Putia froze. Did that mean Marco didn't think so? She shuddered at the thought. "There is a chance, right? Even if it's a small chance.."

Marco nodded. "It depends on Death's mode. He doesn't care for their lives and enjoys the taste of..." He sighed and mumbled. "warm meat."

Putia stared at Marco. "Warm.. meat?" She shook her head in disbelief.
