Marco stopped and sat down. "Putia, you are not useless. And don't give me that 'you are just saying that' crap. When the humans brought us up here, they only picked the best. Each dog had to reach their standards. Each dog has a use. They didn't bring dogs up here for the fun of it."

Putia sighed. She looked at Marco sadly, she really didn't understand what he saw in her.

Marco got up. "Come on, we still have a long way to go."

Putia started to walk slowly, carefully watching Marco for any signs of pain or dizziness.

Marco was good at hiding pain. He was a jock among the dogs and pain would be showing weakness.

Putia plodded alongside Marco. She kept her head down.

Marco plodded along, ignoring the pain in his side when he breathed.

Putia thought about many things as she walked.

Marco wagged his tail. "So, what do you do for fun?"

"Before I met you, nothing. But, I enjoyed everything that happened today... aside from that.." She said, looking at Marco's leg.
