we have another feed store in our city, co-op and they have chicks in the spring, and they get them from mt.healthy. haven't ever tried them, they're kinda expensive!

what does TSC charge for the chicks ?

I bought 6 tetra tints from my local TSC last year. I had one die on the first day, but the other 5 are extremely healthy and great egg layers. These birds are leghorn/RIR cross and lay a crazy amount of large brown eggs. They are not broody at all, but my buffs have no problem with that. Will definately be buying some more tetras this year. The tetra tints only come from mt.healthy. My store in Alabama sells them for around 2-3 dollars depending on what your buying with a min of 5 chicks. My store always sells out so you really need to pre-order if you want to get what you want, or plan on going to the store every day.
