Tractor supply chicks

Thanks! We aren't really planning on having chicks (at least for now) or selling any hatching eggs. We mostly hoped to have a rooster that would help protect the flock and get along well with our family. I know usually some roosters will be good with people and some not. I'm just wondering about the size difference being an issue within the flock.
Regarding size difference being an issue in the flock- my short answer, is yes.

There are going to be exceptions, and some people will have personal experience otherwise, but... Sebrights are going to be under two pounds if purebred- so while they may act like a rooster- a big cat or even a smallish dog would 'win' in a battle. Not to mention the wild critters. You've chosen medium sized standard hens with your EEs, and large standard hens with your Brahmas- so just physically they're going to tower over a sebright!

If you need your rooster to have a job, you may want to consider a standard sized breed.

Or, as I've joked before, get some African Geese and be protected from anything that walks, slithers, or flies! That's from experience!
