Tractor Supply Chicks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tractor supply is supposed to get their chicks in this week and I'm so excited! I know to look for 5 toes and feathered feet to find silkies. Can anyone help me know how to identify cochins and what color they'll be? Also would they be in the bantam bin?
Thank you

Usually a local feed and seed store has them. I can't say, though, my uncle picked up in Seattle when he came to the island to visit us. XD
We had a huge selection, and I chose a nice mix of Orpingtons, Wyandottes, Barnevelders, and Brabanters.

I got 5 White Silkies and 4 Black Austrolorps last year from Tractor Supply. Both were straight run. Out of 9 chickens, I ended up with 1 Black austrolorp hen, 3 black austrolorp roosters and what I think are 5 rooster silkies. One silkie might possibly be a hen. This year I got 4 ameraucanas, 4 cuckoo marans, and 1 buff orpington from Stockdales. I'm hoping my male to female ratio is better this year.

The tractor supply by me got their chickens in finally! However, they only had black australorps, New Hampshire reds, Rhode island reds, and cornish rocks. None of the breeds I was looking for

maybe next time. Anyone know how often they get new shipments?

I have 4 Rhode Island Reds and 4 Buff Orpingtons who are all a day old, however I added 1 ameraucana to the flock of baby chicks today and I'm a little nervouse on whether or not all of the others will eventually pick on the one when they het older. Has anyone had problems with this??

I think they'll be fine. I did something like this last year. I bought 10 chicks, however 1 died a day later. The store gave me a replacement chick the day after that. I don't think any of the chicks even cared. If they were older and had already established a pecking order, It might be different.

Usually several times a week and all different breeds.

The Tractor Supply near me in Texas gets shipments of chicks and ducks on Thursday mornings from Ideal Poultry. You can ask your TSC and they should be able to tell you the day they come in. They might not know what they ordered but they should at least know day. I think the store near me had 25 ducks and 100+ chicks. They had a ton of chicks! One girl bought 21 straight run RIRs.
I was also surprised that our store was sold out by Friday afternoon. They are roped off and were there less that 40 hours. I didn't get any but apparently others did.

I'm in Midland TX. I called quite a few times, checking when the chicks were coming in. I was told every time Wednesday. Just for the heck of it, I went by on Tuesday at lunch. Chicks had come in that morning, and were sold out in 30 minutes.

I asked when they would get more in, and was told next Wednesday. Right.... Like you got them in THIS Wednesday?

So I went Tuesday morning, and they were just opening the boxes. Luckily, I was the 4th person there, because they were gone in 30 minutes again. I brought home 10 chicks, and stuck them under a broody silkie, who adopted them immediately.
