My chicks from TSC are doing wonderful
It appears one of my black sex links is a SLW what a great surprise. They are all chickens (scared), never had such flighty birds. I got RSL, BSL, BA, EE, and a surprise chick that I have no idea what it is. Our TSC didn't carry Silkies but I found some about 45 minutes away.

I think so. Numbers 2, 3, and 5 might be roos.

Yea, 2,3 and 5 all have very bright red combs, wattles and ears. I'd be very surprised if any of them turn pullet on me lol. Have heard a weird noise the last few days here and there, like one of those rubber chicken toys that you squeeze. Pretty sure it's the big black one learning his voice haha.
The smallest one, #1, I initially thought was going to be a roo, but as it's developed (albeit was the runt initially) seems to be a pullet. Thus far, I think I ended up with a 50/50 split since they were straight run when I got them haha.

I'm pretty sure I have at least 2 roos from TSC but I was relatively certain they were boys when we got them. They both had the straight wing feathers and now they're getting very red combs. I'm having a harder time determining on my week old BLRW chicks but judging by their wings I think they might all be female. I really want a blue roo so I hope I'm wrong or I'll have to get one elsewhere.

Aww. Well hopefully one will surprise ya!

We're only going to be keeping 2-3 roos tops, so still waiting to see who's who in a month or two and what their personalities will be. The docile ones will stay haha. Keeping about 10-12 hens between all three breeds. Lol

Went to the feed store to get 10, left with 12.
Went back and got 6 more.
Got 2 guineas to help with snakes.
Found BLRW on craigslist and went to get 4, left with 8.

Now craigslist is a very dangerous place because I've found 3 more breeds I want

Haha! We have 24 right now. 12 buff orpingtons, 6 slws and 6 ees. trying so hard not to bring home more haha

Picked up what were supposed to be australorps last week at tsc and now a week later looks like some are barred rock,I've had baby lorps before and they never had barring so guess I'll have to sell acouple

they aren't silkies (the two in the third picture) probably bantam Cochin's? Does TSC carry those?maybe the hatchery had a rogue non-silkie make it to one of their silkie hens, lol How many toes do they have?

lol not sure if they carry chocins specificly but they had assorted bantems thats where they were but they are cute what about the color they are grey now
