Tractor Supply Company Petition - Please Consider Signing

Signing the petition (which I agree with, btw) is one thing. Having iPetition require you to donate from $2-$100+ with no $0 option is ridiculous.

This is a nice idea, but why don't you folks vote with your dollars and feet and go to your independent local farm/barn store instead of going to a TSC? What's with all the TSC love? They usually don't have knowledgeable staff, they undercut local businesses, and they have the obvious problems with chick handling, as this thread attests. TSC might have a flashy store and kitschy barn animal toys up front, but that doesn't replace knowledge, expertise, and meeting local folks who actually do this for a living, often for many generations.

I say ignore TSC and go patronize your local farm equipment barn store instead.

callsign222, ignoring a problem doesn't make it go away, unfortunately.

Ohhdear, is iPetition really asking for donations? I'll try signing with my husband's computer to see... it let me sign without a problem, but then again, I started the thing...

Thanks to everyone for keeping this petition going! As of today, our local TSC has but up a barrier to keep anyone except employees from getting near the chick brooders. At least this way, the chicks can avoid being "loved" to death by kids. Or dropped by kids, for that matter.
