If you're around tomorrow (weekend), and you'd like to encourage them to go out, perhaps wait until they emerge from the coop, and then throw some of their feed out in the run, letting them see you.

There's usually one greedy one who is motivated by food who will go for the feed, and that might persuade the rest to follow.

Beautiful birds!!

That's the plan, hopefully I can get them in the run for a bit tomorrow, so I can clean the coop. Looked like they were going to hop in today, but got spooked by a crow flying over.

Yeah, they're often gun-shy at first.

In a few weeks, you'll be going crazy trying to get them back in. (Except at dusk - they're really good about putting themselves back in the coop when it gets dark.)

It is so hot, can't even think of coop'ing them up til well into the evening. Long steamy days in the run.

I have shaded the entire run, and some of the area around it, provided cold water constantly, and been vigilant and present.

I'm a nervous wreck about tomorrow, gonna be over 100, yikes

Just hit 100f in the run, two fans blowing, 3 sources of water, food, shade, and my full support. Keeping an eye on them from inside on live video cam.
