Trader Joes & Other Grocery Store Egg Hatching Club - Are you a Member

I'm on it! Been a rough day for them and I'm even considering changing bulbs. The one I'm using is giving me so much trouble
You didn't necessarily lose any.  Remember, Mama Hen has to exit the nest occasionally and the temps will drop then.  They may take a little while longer to hatch.  Keep incubating and monitor movement with candling and you'll know what happened.

My first batch of TJ eggs were hyline productuon leghorns. This batch looks to be California whites as the chicks had random black feathers. Im sure it just depends on what the farm is using. I like high production (low feed/high egg output) chickens so they work out excellent for me, others like a more "friendly" bird so it just depends on your needs.
So my hens started laying last week. Its very strange that my original tj eggs were very white. The hens are laying slightly tan eggs. Someone else posted on here that the white with flecks of black can also be Austra whites. With the color of the eggs Im leaning more towards this mix. Theneggs are the two on the left (2 brown eggs are from sexlink hens)

Does trader joes still sell eggs marked fertile? I called around to a few different locations in my area and they all said no and that it was just a myth.

I can say that the one near me does. I've got a 2 day old to prove it.
