Mine definitely lay a pale brown. Some might call it tinted but it is darker than most 'tinted' I have seen.If the eggs have a brown tint to them then they could be Austra whites. That would be awesome!
If the eggs the hatched chicks lay are white then they could be California whites(California grey rooster x white leghorn) which would also be awesome!
It's amazing how fast they figure it out isn't it? I had chicks learning it in the first days of life, pretty much as soon as I introduced it to them they got it.The chicken now and the egg later.
I love to see pictures. I will post some of mine tonight or tomorrow. they are starting to figure out the vertical nipple water fountain too. Smart little things.
