I have never seen 4 day old TJ eggs but they are great training eggsI didnt want to comment as to not jinx myself and my $2.99 tj eggs. I live in Vegas and they are sold at every tj to my knowledge. I just bought a bator and wanted to do a test run so thought "Hey what the hell, Ill give them a go. I used the julian calendar and the eggs were only 4 days old so I popped them in the bator. Today is day 23 and Ive had 3 hatch. One got his leg and head wrapped around the yolk cord and somewhere lost his egg tooth so by the time I decided to do the "don't help them out" I realized he would have never gotten out. He was beginning to shrink wrap and it was beginning to pull away from the shell. For now he is doing ok.
I posted in the Oct hatch a long but I think the idea of incubating tj eggs was a waste of time for most and I didnt get any response at all. Thats ok though, I still think its a great way to learn what your bator can do and what you need to do to have a successful hatch with eggs that will cost a bit more. I would do it again. Yay tj!
