Today I checked with my local Whole Foods. They have fertile brown eggs--The Julian date was 028 so they are two weeks old.

They would be stretching it for hatching.

The Weather is so nice here in California! (sorry East Coast).

I took the Six week old chicks out for some fresh air and greens.

Hi Everyone! I just hatched 7 out of 12 eggs from Giant supermarket. They were from Natures Yoke, and I called the company, they are Hy-line browns. They were two weeks old at purchase, and incubated in our 1980's GQF cabinet at near ideal conditions. They all hatched one day late, and I assisted as they had very tough membranes. Maybe from refrigeration? So far they are hatching blond and some with rust, I believe they may be sex linked for color.
