Well, I just stuck 6 Rockland brown fertile eggs (date on carton is 168) under my last broody. The other two accepted day old chicks from the farm supply (they'd been broody 2-3 weeks), but Broody #3 had only been broody a week and she was NOT accepting those chicks as hers. She pecked at them a couple times, they ran under the other broodies, and then she harumped and went back to her nest. So *fingers crossed* Now I have to learn to candle ...

I really like my pullets. They are laying a lot of eggs.
