Tragedy related to nutrition?

Solid Gold and Canidea are the only foods I will use to supplement my dogs raw diet. And he has no special diet requirements I just want to feed him the best food possible.

I've used Bil·Jac as far back as I can remember. I use both Bil·Jac Frozen and Bil·Jac Select and to me there is no better dog food.
I also use the Bil·Jac Frozen as a supplement for my breeding fowl.

Bil·Jac Frozen
Beef, Meat By-Products, Cereal Food Fines, Poultry, Poultry Meal, Animal Liver, Fish Meal, Eggs, Cane Molasses, Dried Beet Pulp, Wheat Germ Meal, Brewers Dried Yeast, Phosphoric Acid, Vitamin A Acetate, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Vitamin E Supplement, Riboflavin Supplement, Salt, Niacin, Biotin, Choline Chloride, Folic Acid, Thiamine Mononitrate, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B6), DL-Methionine, Vitamin B12 Supplement, D-Calcium Pantothenate, Manganous Oxide, Inositol, Ascorbic Acid, Ferrous Sulfate, Copper Sulfate, Zinc Oxide, Cobalt Carbonate, Potassium Oxide, Sodium Selenite.[/i]

This is very good for dogfood.

There is only one downfall with it, once a dog is raised on it they will take forever to switch to another food.

I love the store/greenhouse. When I get some extra dough, I want to buy one of their lovely handpainted chicken signs. I also love the free range chickens in the back. Nothing like buying feed from a feed store that has hens running around.

Oh my goodness i didn't know they have hens running around there, My dad is going with me he will have a blast as I will too.
This is going to be the highlight of our week i can see.

Not that I don't love reading a good discussion about chicken nutrition

... but Somewhere in this thread you mentioned that due to this incident you were lookng at your husbandry practices. I would like to mention roost heights and/or constant jumping down from high-ish places can give hairline fractures or repetitive stress. Is that a possibility? Just looking at all possibilities.

ok now back to the feed discussion.

I will say that I don't tire (yet) about discussions about the quality of feed ingredients.

Currently I buy Blue Seal Eggmaker crumbles. Last week I had to buy chicken -n- gamebird (and supplement with oyster shells) until the shipment comes in today. I don't think I made the right choice, but I wonder how Blue Seal's version compares to the similar multi-bird feed like Purina Flockraiser. I'm sure it's 6 of one, 1/2 dozen of the other. Oh, well. Since we like posting labels, I'll post the two blue seal labels I have, since nobody has posted them and someone asked.

Well if Blue Seal is like there sister mill Kent then Blue Seal's Chick N' Game Bird Starter/Grower Crumbles should be a lot better than Purina Flockraiser.
I used Kent Highflyer 22 and 28 for close to 5 years and never had a problem with it.

Part of the reason they are vague is that it allows them to change the formula depending on prices, whichever grain by-product is cheaper is the one that will be used. If they were specific on the label it would be a fixed formula and they couldn't change to go with a lesser priced product.

If you are referring to Processed Grain By-Products in most cases they are,
Brewers dried grains, distillers dried grains, corn gluten feed, wheat millings, bran (rice and wheat)
