Trampoline chicken tractor

OK, I liked this idea so much the kids and I just went outside and did it! A few thoughts:

#1 - The basic idea is solid. It gives the chickens shade, plenty of room, and the trampoline tractor is fairly easy to move.

#2 - If your trampoline is like mine, there is not a solid bar all the way along the bottom. A large section (3ft??) is unsupported, and easy for any predator to get into (note: since I used plastic snow fence, I realize predators can get no matter what. It was what I had handy).

#3 - Did I say they had plenty of room? They sure do, and seem to love every minute of it. BTW, since the trampoline won't keep rain out you would need a covered feeder (just something to keep the feed dry).

I just did this last week. On the lack of bottom bar in parts, like Country Parson was saying, I made my own solution. This would never be an acceptable coop, the way I have it, but it's a great run! I pulled the chicken wire as tight as possible on both top and bottom. The tighter the bottom line is, the better. I used chicken wire that was a bit taller than needed- because I knew that I could then stomp that extra foot down on the ground and pin it down with tent stakes and large rocks. I know that neither cats nor dogs can get into it, having watched them try for a few days. Again, I would not leave birds out at night, they'd be dead by morning if something crafty like a raccoon were to appear- but it's perfect during the day on our little urban ghetto farm!

you guys are awesome. I was concerned about the gaps in the bottom rail as well, so i thought of using tent stakes to secure it.Any more ideas are appreciated.

I am thinking of taking a piece of cloths line cable and pulling it really tight around the bottom of the leg. It would be flexable enough to make the circle and strong enough to tie wrap the wire too. It would be kind of like the bottom wire of a chainlink fence.
