If you watch any cooking shows, sometimes the chefs will put something like meat or vegetables usually vacuumed pack into a water bath. It slowly cooks the item in a warm circulated water. The temperature is usually no lower that 55 degrees for no bacteria. I's not a quick cooking process but evenly cooks whatever you put in it like a steak.
