There are no clear definitions, that's the problem. It's up to interpretation, and the inspector is the one who will give the interpretation. He did say I should get everything in writing though, so whatever he says when he comes over for an inspection again, I'll ask him to write down and make it official. Ultimately he is the enforcer, too, so then he'd have to go against his own word.As an old Zoning Board of Appeals member, please be careful about just taking the inspector's word for anything. Look up the zoning code, particularly the set back and definitions sections. Look up the definition of "structure" and any other term that your run might vaguely fit in. ALWAYS know your definitions, and "ask for clairifiation" of the definition that works best for you, avoiding confrontation, but getting the inspector where you want him to go.
Hahahaha! You know, that's a great idea. He has a Christmas scarf on right now, but I can put a heart on him for Valentine's, a shamrock for St.Patrick's, stick a flag in his butt for Independence Day etc., and really stretch it to cover the whole yearOP - how are things going? Any further interaction with the neighbor? Do you have your Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Year/Valentines Day/St. Patrick’s Day/Easter/Mother’s Day/Father’s Day Independence Day rooster set up and plugged in yet?

I haven't heard from the neighbor in a while. When I see he's in his yard raking leaves or something, I go inside to avoid him, and keep an eye out when I'm in my yard. The revised regulations kicked in on Monday, so now he can't threaten me with that anymore. The last thing left is I need the building commissioner (inspector) to come over and okay the roofless run, and give me his okay in writing, but he's buried in COVID-related delays and said it's not a top priority right now, so I can just chill in the meantime and am not required to do anything until he visits again.
I've seen these collared girls somewhere (maybe you posted them in another thread I was following). Always make me chuckle. Great idea with the cup liners, and I'm impressed that they're letting you do it!HAPPY THANKSGIVING! LOL, I took these photos of my Buff Orps last year. I made the Pilgrim collars with cupcake papers that I just cut!
