What can I do if anything to make traveling thru states from Canada, safe and easy for me and my chicken

Make sure to have a vet check your bird over and clear it from having Avian Influenza and New Castles disease as well as any other disease.

Check with your veterinarian, and the USDA website, and call them too. Also the relevant Mexican authorities. Rules and testing for poultry are a big deal; expensive and can be difficult. Inquire early, and be ready!
