treating lice in baby chicks

I did a little experiment a few weeks back when my roos got lice. I treated one with DE and the other with Manna Pro Poultry Protector. I checked them three days after treating and found the roo that was treated with DE was still infested and I could not find one bug on the one treated with poultry protector. They were housed in the same coop during this period.

I had been given many different opinions on what would work and what wouldn't. Based on my own experience, I will stick with the poultry protector as a treatment for the birds.
