Edwina is a Cream Crested Legbar. Using a bathroom scale and subtracting my weight fully clothed, she is 4 lbs. Probably between 3.5 and 4 lbs is a bit more accurate.Tell me more about Edwina. What breed is she and what is her current weight?
Metric is my preferred way to weigh them. She is 1528 grams, which is on the small side for a legbar I think.I have kitchen scale for the girls now. Now if I can just stop it from turning to kilograms when they are wiggling around!
Edwina is 3 lbs 5.9 oz
I have also weighed 3 other hens. I am going to start a log of all their weights at least 1 x weekly.
Lots of these look abnormal to me. Can you put Edwina in a crate tonight and take picture of her overnight poops?Taken this morning. I have 11 hens and 5 chicks@6 weeks old. Last night there were 10 hens on the roost with all 5 chicks. There should be a lot more droppings under the roost, and there are not.
This was removed from the nest box and is pretty typical of the majority of droppings earlier in the week. The runny dropping to the right was on the coop floor when I pulled the large piece out of the nest box.

That was why I was so worried. I will crate her tonight. She seems to have recovered and so do the hens that I wormed...Lots of these look abnormal to me. Can you put Edwina in a crate tonight and take picture of her overnight poops?
Start weighing her daily at the same time in the morning. If she has recovered he will start making daily wight gains. That was why I was so worried. I will crate her tonight. She seems to have recovered and so do the hens that I wormed...
Could this possibly be signs of coccidiosis too?4 of them looking droopy. Their backs look hunched, tail down. The rest seem normal. I've never seen this before.
