I posted a bit ago about my duckling and it's strange breathing...it has not improved and it is making me so worried. I just hate the thought that there is something I could be doing and am not. It is constant honking with the mouth moving open and shut at every breath. I looked in the mouth and see nothing...and although the nostrils are smaller than the other ducks, they dont appear clogged. Part of me thinks since this has been going on since day one, wouldn't it have passed away by now from being sick...so maybe its just how this duck is? But watching her sleep is so sad...it can't be comfortable. The heat it what it should be..its not panting as it happens all the time. Anything I can try from the store (like tsc or our local feed store)? The vet is a bit of an issue now that we are shelter in place. I see antibiotics are a no go from the store now...but maybe there is a way around it? I feel like I have spent hours looking for answers for a 9 day old duck! HELP!

What is your brooder temperature?

Can your duckling dunk her head all the way? that's important for keeping nares and eyes clean. If you take her out of the brooder how is she? does the breathing change at all. Any discharge coming from nares or eye? any sounds of congestion when listening to her lungs?

80...and its is massive so they can get away from the heat. She does it anywhere though...in the box, outside, in the house.

She does dunk it...seems like she doesn't really enjoy doing it or do it nearly as much as the other 2. She breaths like this with every breath. Has since day one...although it was more clicking than honking like it is now (for the first 4 days). No discharge that I have noticed. Its hard to tell about congestion...she gets very loud when i pick her up i will film her and upload...

Have you tried some ACV in their water? 1 tab per gallon

Bless she sound in distress. Are her nares normal? She looks younger than the other 2 looking at their bills? Hear any congestion?
