Treats For Chicks

I have 6 1 week old silkie chicks what treats could I feed them?, and when would I need to start giving them grit, they hatched under a broody hen so they are pecking around at different things anyway.

The mother should take care of all feeding, so feed her what you normally would feed, don't feed layer though, switch to a grower, letting a hen raise the chicks is way different than brooding them, are they outside, they will pick up bits of sand for grit.

Mine get a very diverse diet, sometimes I don't think the chicks actually eat any of the ration, they grow fast and strong with mom taking care of them.
